Pakhus Pendant Lamp
Louis Poulsen
Overview

The Pakhus pendant was originally designed in 1984 by Erik Mollers Tegnestue for the Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen; the building was an old warehouse with low ceilings and therefore the architects saw the need for a small pendant with a warm glow to suit the environment. Pakhus has a minimalistic design with a primary focus on point shaped light sources. An anti-glare ring eliminates direct glare from the focal point of the light source, while permitting optimal light distribution both upward and downwards.
